BARRY KEENE FINE ART
Barry Keene is a painter in oils. He studied under Bill Edwards at the Berkshire College of Art in the early 1960s and later with Brian Johnston.† He has exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists at the Henley Festival and his work is to be found in private collections in Britain and abroad.
He first started working in the art world at the Reading Fine Art Gallery in 1963 and from 1971 he ran his own art gallery in Henley-on-Thames which, since 1984, was based in a 16th century cottage overlooking the river Thames, where he sold period & contemporary paintings, watercolours, etchings and sculpture with recent work by some of Britainís leading artists.†† Barry also worked as a picture framer, restorer and artist but has now retired from his Gallery to spend more time painting
