John Duval was a painter of landscapes, sporting and rustic subjects.  He lived in Ipswich.  He exhibited his work at the Royal Academy, the British Institute and the Suffolk Street Galleries.  Titles include  The Keeper’s Daughter” etc.  His style ad subject matter are similar to the other Ipswich painters E.R. and Thomas Smythe
