Bill Smith was born on 2nd March 1930.  He was educated at Dunston Hills School and West Bolden and studied art at Sunderland College of Art and King’s College, Newcastle upon Tyne.  He has exhibited in group shows throughout the world with one-man shows in the UK and Scandinavian galleries.  Work by Bill Smith is in the permanent collections of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Australia, Porsgrunn and Larvik Gallery.  He lives in Norway.
