Percy Robertson was a watercolour
landscape painter and etcher. He was
born in 1868, at Ballagio in Italy and was the son of the artist Charles
Robertson R.S.W. He was educated at
Charterhouse and lived at Godalming Surrey in 1855, London in 1902 and 1916 and
at Maidenhead in Berkshire in 1906. He
painted many views of the Thames Valley. In 1887 he was elected Associate
member of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers and Engravers, rising to full
Membership in 1908. He also exhibited at
Thomas Agnew and Sons Gallery, Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, Manchester City
Art Gallery, the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute.
