F. Nicholls was a watercolour landscape and flower painter. He
exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham, Baillie Gallery, Goupil
Gallery, Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery, the Royal
Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Cambrian Academy, the
Royal Institute and Walker's Gallery London. He lived in Liverpool in 1885, Liscard, Cheshire in 1894, Rock Ferry, Cheshire in 1899,
Evesham, Worcs in 1906, Oxford in 1912 and Horsepath in Oxfordshire in 1923.
