J Lennox Browne is listed in the art

and from the age of 18 he exhibited at the Society of British Artists in
Suffolk Street, later exhibiting at various exhibitions for over 30 years
including the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal
Institute, the New Watercolour Society, Dowdeswell Gallery, Dudley Art Gallery
and Walker Art Gallery Liverpool. Titles at the Suffolk Street Galleries
included “Early Morning, Shiplake Weir” 1869 and “Hastings, Rough Weather”
1871.He also followed his father, a well
known surgeon, into the medical profession, becoming an eminent
ear, nose and throat surgeon, founding the Central London Throat, Nose and Ear
Hospital in Gray’s Inn Road. He also wrote nine medical books. A
special feature of at least one was the beauty of the illustrations executed by
himself.
