Affleck was born in Rochdale. He studied
art at South Kensington, Heatherley’s and Lambeth School of Art and exhibited
his work at the Royal Academy; the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham; Dudley
Galleries; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Manchester City Art Gallery; New
Gallery; the Royal Society of British Artists; the Royal Institute; the Royal
Institute of Painters in Oils; Suffolk Street Galleries and the New Watercolour
Society. He lived at Camberwell in
London. He was a Member of the London
Sketch Club and was a painter of landscapes and rustic scenes, often with
figures.
