Norman Lloyd was a landscape painter in oil, pastel and watercolour. He was born on 16th October 1895 at Hamilton, New
South Wales, Australia
and studied at Sydney
also in France
He settled in England and exhibited at the Royal Academy,
the Royal Institute and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ti which he was elected Member in 1935). He also exhibited at the Paris Salon, the
Arlington Gallery and Walker Art Gallery Liverpool.
He was a Member and
President of the London Sketch Club but in the 60s he retired to France and let
his membership lapse. He rekindled his
association with the Club in 1984, shortly before his death.
He lived in London
for many years.
