VICTOR COVERLEY-PRICE  (1901 – 1988)

Victor Coverley Price was a painter in oil and watercolour and was also a writer.   He was born in Winchester on 31st January 1901 and educated at Harrow and Pembroke College, Cambridge. He obtained his Master of Arts degree from Oxford University and was a member of the Diplomatic Service from 1925 to 1946.

 

He published An Artist Among Mountains, illustrated books for children and showed widely abroad as well as exhibiting at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute, the Royal Pastel Society and the Royal Society of British Artists, in the provinces and held several one-man shows at home and abroad.  He lived at Cirencester in Gloucestershire. He also lived in Holland for a while.
